Years ago, Tarantino told all and sundry his idea for a Bond movie: a strict adaptation of the first Ian Fleming novel "Casino Royale" and true to period. That ship sailed, and it’s unlikely that the risk-averse production team are going to let Daniel Craig travel back in time. But Tarantino obviously loves the character and has a handle on violence and masculinity.
