B-TOWN CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI Kuch Kuch Hota Hai recently completed 20 years and filmmaker Karan Johar, who started his journey as a director with film, shared a nostalgic post thanking the stars of the film in an Instagram post. “Can’t believe it’s been 20 years of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai! A film that gave me love, acceptance and a career… will always be eternally grateful to Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji and Salman Khan for indulging a 25-year-old boy with stars in his eyes. Thank you, for all the love.” Karan Johar celebrated 20 years of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai with a grand event in Mumbai. In a video, Karan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji thanked each and every person who contributed towards the making of the 1998 blockbuster Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. From Kareena Kapoor Khan who manage to make time despite having her marriage anniversary party with family, friend and film director Zoya Akhtar, Ayan Mukerji, Neha Dhupia, Abhishek Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Twinkle Khanna to young actors like Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, rapper Badshah among many others along with Karan Johar and the star cast of the film joined the party to celebrate the glorious journey of the film.

BOX OFFICE CLASH BETWEEN NAMASTE ENGLAND AND BADHAAI HO Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Namaste England featuring Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor clashed with Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra and Neena Gupta’s Badhaai Ho. According to Box Office India report, Namaste England started its box office journey on a “poor” note while Badhaai Ho has taken a “good start”. “Badhaai Ho has taken a good start of around 30-35% while Namaste England is poor at around 10-15%,” the report stated. Collections of Amit Ravindernath Sharma-directed film is expected to surge, courtesy the upcoming Dussehra holiday. “The opening of Badhaai Ho is better than the other small medium films Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raazi and Stree. The holiday in Delhi and Punjab will be tomorrow and the collections are sure to jump in these parts,” the report added. Namatse England stars Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles. The film is a love story set in Punjab and England and is set in the same universe as the 2007 film Namastey London. The film is directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and written by Ritesh Shah and Suresh Nair. Badhaai Ho stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao among others. Badhaai Ho is a quirky slice of life comedy of a family where an older woman (Neena Gupta) gets pregnant when her grown-up son (Khurrana) is about to get married. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the film is written by Shanatanu Srivastava and Akshat Ghildial.

WINTER WEDDING IN INDIA FOR PRIYANKA CHOPRA AND NICK JONAS, DATES CONFIRMED! Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, who only got engaged on August 18 and surprised many with their ultra-quick engagement, are wasting no time planning their nuptials, too. According to various reports, the celebrity couple is all set to tie the knot in a traditional Indian wedding ceremony in Jodhpur next month. Reports by leading dailies in India suggest that “Priyanka and Nick will have a 3-day wedding function. From 30th November to 2nd December, the wedding rituals will take place in Jodhpur. It will be a palace wedding for the lovely couple.” On their recent trip to India, Priyanka and Nick briefly visited Jodpur, where they were reportedly scouting for a wedding venue. Priyanka and Nick were photographed touring the Mehrangarh Fort, which has hosted high profile events in the past – Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar’s wedding reception in 2007 and Naomi Campbell’s ex-boyfriend Vladimir Doronin’s 50th birthday.
