The author of the novel talks about the adaptation of his book into film in 2018

“This is how the entire course of a life can be changed: by doing nothing.” On Chesil Beach, starring Saoirse Ronan and Billy Howle, is directed by Dominic Cooke, four-time Olivier Award winning and BAFTA nominated theatre, TV and film director and writer. Ian McEwan has adapted the screenplay from his best-selling novel of the same name, which was shortlisted for the 2007 Booker Prize. In this interview, McEwan discusses with Hot Corn the challenges of adapting his book.
