HOT CORN Radio: Love, Simon

Listen to Bleachers’s Alfie’s Song (Not So Typical Love Song) from Love, Simon soundtrack

Rob Simonsen’s movies score includes The Spectacular Now, The Age of Adaline and, most recently, Gifted and Going in Stile. Now, Greg Berlanti chose him to write Love, Simon‘s eclectic soundtrack. Simon Spier is a seventeen-year old boy attending high school in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. He’s yet to tell his family or friends he’s gay and he doesn’t actually know the identity of the anonymous classmate he’s fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing. Directed by Berlanti (Riverdale), screenplay by Elizabeth Berger & Isaac Aptaker (This is Us), and based on Becky Albertalli’s acclaimed novel, Love, Simon is a funny and heartfelt coming-of-age story about the thrilling ride of finding yourself and falling in love. The soundtrack has been released digitally by Lakeshore Records and Bleachers‘ Jack Antonoff has executive produced the whole soundtrack and he’s also contributed a track, Alfie’s Song (Not So Typical Love Song).
