LONDON – Written by Bernie Taupin and sung – obviously – by the legendary Sir Elton John, Rocketman is one of the most emblematic of Sir Elton’s songs: it’s about the future, the risk of heading towards something unknown, the desire to return home while wanting to go even further, the meaning of life. Recorded and released in 1972 on the album Honky Château, Rocketman is also the title of the new Elton John biopic. Brought to the big screen by director Dexter Fletcher with the lead played by Taron Egerton – who, judging by the first trailer, looks incredibly convincing and similar to John – Rocketman will be released this summer. In the meantime, Hot Corn has brought you some exclusive images from the London film set, including shots of Richard Madden, who plays John’s manager John Reid, luxury Rolls-Royces and bright sparkly jackets.
