Billed as the UK’s answer to Eminem-starring 8 Mile, Ed Lilly’s VS. takes us into the heart of the underground rap battle scene, through the eyes of newcomer Adam, played by Connor Swindells. It’s a raw and affecting piece that marks a promising career for both of them – and it was therefore our pleasure to sit down with Lilly and Swindells to discuss this electrifying piece of cinema, and one that was evidently a very personal, passion project for them both – that has led to a close friendship between them.
