Set in the world of drone technology and fifth generation fighters, this sequel will explore the end of the era of dogfighting. The story of 'Top Gun: Maverick' takes place 34 years after the original film. In the movie, Cruise reprises the role of Maverick, who is now the new flight instructor of the Top Gun school.
